Atlanta Braves Pitching Rotation

Braves 2024 Pitching Rotation

After Spencer Strider disrupted Max Fried's run of opening day starts (perhaps a precursor to Fried's last year in Atlanta) and Reynaldo Lopez was named the 5th starter, the Braves Pitching rotation was solidified.

That didn't last particularly long as now the Braves are trotting out some version of Fried, Morton, Sale, Reynaldo Lopez, 5th starter.

That 5th starter has been filled by a myriad of spot starting rookies from Spencer Schwellenback to, most recently, Hurston Waldrep. The situation is fluid.

Waiting In The Wings..

Outside of the Braves opening day rotation above, Atlanta is loaded with talented arms in the minors including 2023 All Star Bryce Elder who failed to secure a spot in the rotation out of spring training. Given the length of the season, it's likely all of the arms below will see some time with the big league team in 2024.
